Boonville - Richard J. "Dick" Dutch, 63, of Main Street, formerly of State Route 26 in West Leyden, passed away in Boonville on Friday, March 5, 2010.

He was born in Rome on November 27, 1946, a son of Edward W. and Bethany J. "Betty" (Ammon) Dutch. He grew up on the Dutch family farm on the Golden Road, and graduated from West Leyden Central School with the Class of 1964.

He was employed by the Town of Ava Highway Department prior to working as a truck driver for Central Asphalt Co., New Hartford for many years. Following retirement, he worked as a bartender at the Milk Plant Tavern in West Leyden.

On July 20, 1968, he was married to Linda Fuller at St. Mary's Church, West Leyden. Later they were divorced. He married Nancy Weiler, and later they were divorced.

He is survived by two daughters, Christina Dutch of Somerville, MA, and Karin Dutch of Blasdell, NY; a granddaughter, Jade Salzman of Blasdell; three brothers, Dennis Dutch and Michael and Mary Dutch, all of Boonville, and Douglas and Tamara Dutch of Mt. Juliet, TN; three sisters, Patricia Koster of Boonville, Jayne Houghton of Bloomingburg, NY and Sandra and Kurt Mazur of Boonville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents in 1985, a brother, Lynn Edward Dutch in 1997, and a sister, Janet Dutch Homick, in 1996.

At the time of his death, Richard was under the loving care of Patricia Koster, and Linda and Peter Breen of Boonville.

His funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville, with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, West Leyden.
