Constableville - Patricia A. Foshay, 80, of Kessler Road and formerly of Bethel, CT, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville after a brief illness.
She was born in Mercer, PA on November 29, 1929, a daughter of Gregory and Mary Elizabeth (White) Hatch. Patricia grew up in Danbury, CT where she attended school through the twelfth grade. On May 29, 1947 Patricia was united in marriage with Frederick H. Foshay, Jr. in Danbury. The couple settled in Bethel, CT, where she was employed as a bookkeeper at her husband's business, F&M Blacktop Company. Mr. Foshay died on October 21, 2000. Mrs. Foshay moved to the Constableville area in 2008 to make her home with her daughter. Patricia enjoyed playing pitch and bingo.
Mrs. Foshay is survived by a daugher and son-in-law, Patricia and Robert Ely of Constableville; three grandchildren, Edward Henry and his wife, Lynda of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Trisha Waterhouse and her husband, George of Boonville, and Robert F. Ely and his wife, Amber of Watertown, CT; six great-grandchildren, Bryan Ely, Trevor Ely, Julia Waterhouse, Hannah Ely, and Scott and Danielle Henry; a sister, Betty Lou Horan of Bethel, CT; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no services or visitation hours. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Constableville Fire Company, Constableville, NY 13325. Arrangements are entrusted to Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville, NY.
